| Peace Lutheran Parish was organized in November of 1997 with these four congregations: |
| Ada Lutheran | Amana Lutheran | American Lutheran | Our Savior's Lutheran |
| Courtland, KS | Scandia, KS | Belleville, KS | Norway, KS |
These churches and towns are all located in North Central Kansas.There has always been a commitment to maintain the individuality of each congregations. To facilitate this, each congregation has a council, officers and separate budget.At the same time, each of the congregations names three representatives to the Parish Council. Parish officers are chosen from this group. There is a Parish budget. Currently all of the churches are served by Pr. Bliese and Pr. Wascher.Pr. Judith Wascher began her interim ministry in December. She is living in Norway. Pr. Art Bliese continues to serve the parish in the same capacity that he has for the past two years. He resides in Ada. Pr. Wascher, serving as interim pastor between a former pastor's leaving and a new pastor's coming, has the responsibility of helping the parish reflect on its past, evaluate the present, and dream toward the future of God's people in the Parish. Peace Lutheran Parish has been and will continue to be a caring and supportive part of the larger Evangelical Lutheran church bodies. |
